The San Diego Padres succeeded in winning two in a row.
San Diego won 4-1 in the 2023 major league game against the Atlanta Braves held at True Park in Atlanta on the 9th (Korean time). Ha-seong Kim played an active role with 1 hit in 4 at-bats. There were two rather unfortunate foul home runs.
In the top of the third inning, San Diego scored first. With no runners on second out, Juan Soto hit a solo home run.
Soto played a full count against Atlanta starter Charlie Morton. He cut the changeup in the middle of the 6th pitch. On the 7th pitch, a four-seam fastball came to the high course. Soto flew over the middle right fence with a lightning-like swing.
San Diego ran away with a 1-0 lead in the top of the 4th inning, 3-0.
Leading batter Jake Cronenworth opened the door with a right-handed hit. Luis Campusano struck out. Cronenworth stole second base from one out and first base. A throwing mistake overlapped and he went to third base. From 1st out and 3rd base, Lougned Odor hit a ground ball to 2nd base. The Atlanta infield chose a home game. Odor was quick.
Ha-seong Kim exploded a double in the continued 1st base. Created second and third base chances. Trent Grisham hit a grounder on first base. Atlanta chose home again. Third base runner Odore was caught, but after a mistake, Kim Ha-seong tactfully stepped into the home.
On this day, Kim Ha-seong looked pretty good at hitting. But he wasn’t so lucky.
He hit foul home runs in both his third and fourth at-bats. The bat was right in the center, but the timing was very slightly fast. In the 6th inning, after a foul home run, he swallowed the disappointment with a ground ball to third base, and in the 9th inning, a fly ball to center field after a foul home run.

After one out, Sam Hilliard hit a double. Ronald Acuña Jr. was out with a fly ball in left field, but Matt Olsen hit the right time in the middle. Austin Riley failed to score an extra run as he hit a ground ball to third base.
San Diego immediately ran away in the top of the ninth. Manny Machado struck out on first out and third base. A wild fight came out of Kirby Yates’ at-bat. Third base runner O’Doer entered home bloodlessly. Yates and Xander Bogaerts walked on consecutive bases. With the bases loaded with two outs, Jose Azuoka left a sense of discomfort when the right fielder was out.
San Diego posted closer Josh Hader in the bottom of the ninth for a 4-1 lead. Hader walked leadoff hitter Sean Murphy and got a hit by Ozzy Albis, causing a crisis himself.
However, Hader put out the fire by striking out Kevin Pilar and Marcel Ozuna in a row. With a wild throw, he was driven to second and third base again, but Orlando Arcia struck out and completed the save.
