Instagram’s watch history is rolling out, bringing it in line with TikTok’s already-there feature. First things first: Update that app! Get ready to rediscover those hidden gems and binge-worthy content you accidentally swiped past.
Note : this feature applies only to Reels. You won’t find Stories you’ve watched or posts you’ve viewed.
Open the app and press on your tiny profile picture icon in the lower right corner of your feed.
Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper right to go toSettings.

Want to rewind further back than a week to relive your favorite Reels? While Instagram lets you filter by “Past week,” I hit a wall trying to go beyond 30 days. So, for now, diving deeper into your archived Reels requires a clever workaround – which I’m about to reveal.
Got a specific creator in mind? Tap the “All authors” button at the top to hunt down their Reels directly!
Select one or more creators and then pressApplyto view the Reels you’ve watched by them.
Delete Your Watch History on Instagram
Instagram’s watch history: a cluttered digital attic of fleeting Reels. Unfortunately, a “one-click delete” button remains elusive. The current solution? A bit of digital decluttering, one Reel at a time. Start by tapping “Select” in the top-right corner and get to tidying up!
Want to tidy up your Reels? Just tap the thumbnails of the videos you want to say goodbye to. Then, hit “Remove” at the bottom to wave farewell. Changed your mind? Tap “Cancel” to deselect and start fresh!
Deleting your Reels Watch History? Easy peasy… unless you’ve been on a Reel-watching binge lately. Then, prepare for finger gymnastics, because clearing that epic library could take a while.
How to Revisit Older Reels
Hunting for a Reel you watched ages ago? Try this trick: shower those Reels with love! Tap the heart icon while you’re watching – it’s your instant “save for later” button.
The to access your liked videos, navigate toSettings ->Your activity ->Likes.
Tap onAll content typesat the top.
Switch toReelsto only view your watched videos.
