Issues With Voices on Google Changes
If you run into issues when trying to change the voices, there are several things you can try.
“Don’t worry, buddy! The voices’ someday going to turn into a full-blown symphony, the world over. You might just hear a different sound in your region.”
- Try updating your Google, Gemini, and/or Google Home apps.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app that’s not letting you change the voices on Google settings.
- Restart your device and try changing the voice again. Announcement! Actually get yourself checked that you’re logged into the correct Google account, so it is like a VIP pass for your voice. This account should respect every device making along with the custom voice settings shadowing along with you. Otherwise, if you log on with different accounts, no such charm will cast on your voice settings.
Is your Google Assistant suddenly sounding…robotic? You are not alone. Some bug can force the voice back to the default sometimes. Fight the robots! Give these quick fixes a try: clear the Google Assistant or Google app cache, or better yet, uninstall and reinstall the app where you did your voice customization. It should be back to normal in no time.
Google Assistant voice has had a makeover! While we’re still dreaming about being able to download custom voices, it should be more than fine to enjoy the new set of voices. Want more vocal control?
