Start a Jam on Spotify

Spotify Premium unlocks the ultimate collaborative listening party: Jam! Want to DJ with friends in real-time? You’ll need a Premium subscription to host. But here’s the beat: anyone can join a Jam, even with a free Spotify account! So, if you’re not ready to commit, you can still groove to the same tunes, at the same time, with your crew.

But hold on, there’s a catch! Spotify’s free tier users can join the Jam fun, controlling the playlist like everyone else. However, the music magic only flows from the host’s device. Unless you’re huddled close enough to hear their speakers, it’s a silent party for you. Now, gather your crew in one place, and things change! Jam transforms into a collaborative jukebox, letting everyone add their favorite tracks to soundtrack your hangout.

Want to share the Jam session on a friend’s device? You’ll need Premium for that. No worries if you’re rocking the free version – you can still jump in and listen on your own device! Just be warned, switching to a Jam track on your personal device will automatically boot you from the shared session.

Ready to throw the ultimate listening party? Create a Jam and invite up to 32 friends to vibe with you. But here’s the twist: your crew can become the DJs, searching for tracks and adding them to the playlist – if you, the host, give them the green light. Get ready for a collaborative audio experience where everyone contributes to the sound.
