If you’ve been on Reddit for a while, then you have probably built up history. This application retains your search queries and browsing history, comments and posts as well as comments & posts. If you don’t want to keep that information in mind, you can always lose it. In this tutorial, you can see and delete your history on Reddit.

Find and Remove Reddit History on Your PC
Only logged in to their Reddit account can they see history. I am just browsing, without logging in (which you can do without any problem on Reddit) and don’t have to worry that your past is building up.
Browsing History
Is it useful to look up your browsing history if you want to revisit a post or thread you saw ‘back in the day’? On Reddit, you can view your browsing history on a PC or – in the mobile app.
Reddit Open RedDit on your computer. Look at the right side of the screen for . You should see a box with the posts that you recently saw, Recent posts.
To remove these posts from view, click on the Clear button in the upper-right corner.
The Recent posts box allows you to see up to 10 posts, but if you want to view more, click your avatar in the upper-right corner and click Your Profile.
When you’re on your profile page, you can get a number of details about what you are doing on Reddit. CLICK History to see your full activity in the menu at the top of “top” .
Should you be able to search your older posts now? I’ve been on Reddit for PC and it has a problem loading the history beyond the latest posts. This is not a problem on mobile .
You can’t delete posts you viewed from here. Press the three dots on this post and select Hide instead of removing it from view.
To delete your entire browsing history, click your avatar and select Settings at the bottom.
Switch to the Privacy tab and check at the bottom.
Under Advanced, you should Clear History. Click the Clear button.
Search History
It’s pretty easy to see your search history on Reddit. To see all the new keywords you’ve used to search for stuff on Reddit, click on the Search bar at the top. For example, below your search queries you’ll see a list of Trending topics according to your interests.
One of the search queries (or all) are deleted by pressing the X button next to each keyword you want to remove.
As in section #1, you’ll need to access your profile page to find information about your comments and post history.
After entering your profile, click on the Comments or***Posts* tab to see and browse through the information.
If you can delete one or more items by one, while Reddit doesn’t allow to remove comments and posts in bulk. If you do so, click on the three dots under a comment to select Delete and then choose D. This will effectively remove the comment from the post you’ve commented on.

The same screen allows you to also switch to your Saved section (from the same display) where you can see all your saved posts. To remove Remove from saved to erase it from your history, tap on the three dots on this post and select Revoked from save.
Continue the Upvoted and **Downvoted*** sections of . To remove a post from here, you can use the upward or downward arrow under the post to return your vote.
A better way to hide the comments and posts from your profile is to remove them from you’s . Click your avatar and select Settings in your Reddit feed.
Check the Curate Your Profile section and click the Show all button next to Content and activity.
Switch to Hide All.
Note If you participate in Mods of communities and redditors whose posts you follow, they can still see your full profile.
Deleting in bulk
It’s possible, if you want to delete posts and comments in masse but only with third party tools such as Shreddit or Redact. These are sadly paid services, and may not be for everyone but they do.
It also has the PowerDeleteSuite in GitHub but for beginners, there may be a bit of coding too complicated. Should I try the Redditor Reborn extension for Chrome instead of a ?
Install extension, log in with Reddit account. If you already have a connection, the extension will automatically detect your account. When I add it up, click the extension and choose**Delete all comments*** **Delete All posts* / Both or both?
Below, you can also set a custom time range and have the extension delete comments and posts within that window.

Find and Remove Reddit History on Your Mobile
When you prefer browsing Reddit on your phone, then I’m glad to know that if you can see and manage the history here as well.
Browsing History
Open the Reddit app on your phone. Tap on your avatar in the lower-right corner of the display.
On your Reddit profile page, press the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner. Select History.
You’ll now be able to search your history on this particular mobile phone. Interestingly enough, the option appears local so if you’ve searched other posts/threads on your PC (even when logged in with the same account) they won’t appear here.
Reddit also allows you to delete all your recent history on RedDit, but only in Android. press the three dots at top of . Tap Clear Recent History
There are also posts that can be hidden from view of . Tap the three dots on the post and select Hide. This is also available for iPhone users to use this option as well.
If you have an iPhone, and if you are on the iPhone (and vice-versa), tap your avatar in the upper right corner to see the History option in its menu that appears from the right.
Search History
The way you can see your search history on mobile is that it works pretty much like the way they do on desktop. In the Search bar at the top of the search bar, just tap in to see your latest questions. To remove an item, tap the X to search older searches queries and display older questions.
As on desktop, can view Trending topics underneath.
For access to your comments and posts history on mobile, visit your profile page first. From there you can switch between the Posts and Comments sections of your engagement history.
This is a bulk option that doesn’t directly exist through Reddit and you’ll have to delete posts and comments one by one as in the past. Redact has a dedicated mobile app, but it did not work for us because we couldn’t log into Reddit. If you don’t think to pay the fee, Shreddit is an alternative.
Click on one you want to rid of if you can delete, select comments. Upon entering the post page, you’ll see your comment. Tap on the three dots next to Reply.
Select Delete from there.
Or, you can opt for removing your comment and post history from the profile of . This can be done by navigating to your Reddit profile page, tapping on the hamburger menu (Android) and selecting Profile curation. If you press your avatar and select Curate a profile from the menu that appears on iPhone, it is available.
Select Content and activity. Opt to Hide All.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my history available for other users on Reddit to see?
It depends on what history you’re talking about, yes and no. It doesn’t allow anyone to see your browsing and search histories for . But you can see your comments and posts on Reddit by other RedDit users. In a thread where you have commented, for example, all they need to do is tap on your account name in order to see this information. They will then look at your posts and comments from there. If you or a moderator delete/hides these comments/posts, they will remain available.
Will my search history be preserved if I log out of Reddit?
Reddit stores your history on mobile or PC so you can log out without a problem. It is your history for you to be a .
Can I prevent Reddit from tracking my browsing history?
You can browse anonymously on your mobile if you want to, for example, wish that you were s. If you want to switch on this mode, just tap on your Reddit avatar and then the downward arrow next to your username in the upper left corner of that is used. At the bottom, select Anonymous Browsing. Note that while you’re browsing incognito mode on Reddit, you won’t be able to vote/downvote, comment or create posts. The same is not available on PC, but you can log out and browse in this way instead of using a similar option.
