Safari with Firefox Focus: The Best Browser Setup to Keep Me Safe

Safari is my favorite browser on iPhone; I’m always looking for extensions to make it easier. That’s how I found a Firefox Focus extension specifically for Safari. whimmed it up, I put it on but it was far more valuable than I thought.

Why Safari with Firefox Focus Beats Running Two Separate Browsers

Firefox Focus is a privacy and security-based mobile browser that has at its core Privacy and Security for the unintelligent. Default settings for private browsing enable as such, i.e.

Also, Firefox Focus also blocks ad tracking and analytics that tracks your activity across the web as well to social networking sites. Similarly, it removes ads automatically so that users can see the site more cleanly. Mozilla, a long-standing advocate for online privacy, is an interesting browser alternative to Firefox Focus, which has been popular with many of the browsers.

Firefox Focus Extension Safari Together

Firefox Focus (a standalone app on iOS) – which is integrated directly in Safari via an extension – has been described as the best solution for my view, although it’s not yet available to me but should I do if you use most of Safari.

Although this configuration will not store space on your computer (the way Safari extensions work) you’ll be able to enjoy key Safari benefits with Firefox Focus’s privacy features.

If Safari’s tamil-like integration with iOS provides you with seamless access to services such as iCloud Keychain, Apple Pay and more, for example, while adding Focus on privacy protection at the top is all in one package. With Firefox Focus being an extension, you’ll retain all these conveniences.

Additionally, Safari provides advanced features such as a strong bookmarking system, PDF markup tools and distraction control, tab grouping, syncing with other Apple devices and more. If you want to use full browser Safari, but it’s better to stick with these are capabilities Firefox Focus.

Firefox Focus must be working in the background now, as it is a . The ads will be removed (most) and you’ll notice the app’s tracker blocking features will also activate.

Nevertheless, in its current form, the extension does not allow you to change any of its settings. During the app, you can change many things (including what trackers and scripts to block) but with the extension it will not allow you. That said, in my opinion, the default settings of the extension are more than enough for .

Although it does have its own tracker blocker, a quick comparison between Safari and Firefox Focus while browsing the same sites for several days showed that this latter was clearly one of the winners in terms of tracking protection effectiveness.

If a person needs to, you can quickly disable the extension by pressing on the stack icon in the address bar and selecting Manage Extensions.

Then just turn off Firefox Focus from there.
